There is not only a time to laugh, but also a time to mourn. I had a flag fish just like this and he died last night. It was sad... I pray that all my other fish stay healthy for years. All fish go to Heaven! :o) | | |
| It is not in our power to choose the foundation of our bodies, what sex we are, what nationality we are, the atmosphere we're born into, or the opportunities that come our way. That is left to God. What He leaves to us, however, is a challenge in which we should feel very privileged to obtain. What He leaves to us is the power to decide what to do with what we have - no matter how much or how little; what attitude we have regarding our present circumstances; how much faith to radiate; and so much more. It's not about what we have, it's about what we do with what we have. It is up to you to decide what you'll do with the talent God has given you, no matter how many talents or what they are. And if you have no talent at all, it's up to you to decide how you will obtain one and if you'll humble yourself enough to ask God for the one you so desire. (This does not necessarily mean you do not have a talent, it may just be that your eyes are not opened to it yet. This also does not mean that God will give you what you ask, for He knows what's best and will place the right desires in you if you are willing to obey). God doesn't care so much about how you look or feel, but rather the attitude you have towards how you look and what you do with your feelings. Maybe that's why Paul said "...for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." (Philippians 4:11) And he is not saying he is content with doing nothing. He is saying he is content with whatever is given to him because no matter what his present circumstances are he is going to glorify God to the best of his ability. The only thing that can stop us from glorifying God is either our own selves or God Himself. Why would we or He do that? For that is our very purpose of breathing at all. | | |
| Jesus had no servants yet they called Him Master. Had no degree yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines yet they called Him Healer. Had no army yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb yet He lives today. Feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us. | | |
| Abraham Lincoln once said... "My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure." | | |
